Cyclone Enawo: The first two months of the year have seen very little rain, raising fears of a very poor rice crop this year. But all this is changing as I write. The centre of the most powerful cyclone (hurricane) to hit Madagascar for 13 years is tonight close to Mandritsara. According to news reports, Enawo is a “dangerous tropical cyclone” which has been building up for a few days in the Indian Ocean, and made landfall in NE Madagascar this morning….
