Another Christmas Tale - 12th December

Marie only packs the bare essentials: Water, some food, a little money - they don't have much anyway; they live from hand to mouth. Together with her neighbours, she lays Rasoa, who has become semi-conscious in the meantime, on a large sheet. Four of them carry the pregnant woman out of the village - always in a southerly direction, the hospital must be there somewhere; about two days' walk away.
