how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32
Major urgent need for doctors For more than 25 years in Mandritsara it has been our recurring experience that the Lord provides, according to His promise – whether it be in personnel, finances, training, guidance, strength, encouragement or whatever. He has never let us down. That is why the project is a testimony to His faithfulness and love. It is His.
Now we are cast back upon His promises once more. Over the past few weeks we have learned that 3 of our key doctors, plus the team leader, will be leaving Mandritsara in the course of the next 9 months. Mat and Katy Linley (team leader/Bible teacher, lead general physician) and family will be leaving next April and Matt and Sarah Sherratt (anaesthetist/general surgeon, Good News School teacher) and family will be leaving next July. Family reasons, particularly the
education of their older, secondary age, children is the main precipitating factor and their plans are to return to the UK. More recently we have heard that Thomas and Esther Beck (leader of the
Community Health Team and surgeon, Good News School teacher) plan to move to a project in Tamatave on the east coast of Madagascar this December.
We are thankful to the Lord for the service that these dear folk have rendered in Mandritsara. We know that their decisions to move on have not been easily or lightly taken, but in the conviction of God’s will and the good of their families. Please pray for them as they seek to “handover” to others and pray for the children as they contemplate moving away from what has been “home” for most or all of their lives. Please pray that the whole team might know that God is in control –
there is a time for everything, and everything is good in His time…
