Doctors (inc. junior and med students)

Doctors of all specialties, whom God may be calling, to volunteer at the Good News Hospital, for any period, would be considered.

This is also a great place to serve, in the short to medium-term, for those still in training. The Good News Hospital often has post foundation year doctors who come to help and to experience work in a mission hospital context. Many of the project’s longer-term volunteer overseas missionaries had served over shorter time periods previously.

The Good News Hospital organise a period of orientation for new doctors. The hospital team use protocols and carry out CME meetings. Supervision and training are can be provided as required.

You will need to be able to speak, read and write some French, as it is the working language of the hospital. This is not a paid role; you will need to raise your own funds for flights and your expenses during your time in Mandritsara. Short-term volunteers are generally self-fund and longer-term volunteers are sent by a church or missionary organisation. All workers should have the prayerful support of their home church.
