Training Surgeons at the Good News Hospital

The Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) trains African Christian Doctors to become excellent Christian Surgeons through robust academic, clinical and spiritual training, testing and mentorship to prepare African Physicians to meet the deep surgical and spiritual needs of Africa. Mandritsara is now one of the centres of PAACS training and in this video you will see this 5-year programme in action.

  1. Please pray for the 3 Malagasy doctors currently in training: Dr Tefy and Dr Rado (second year "Residents" or trainee surgeons) and Dr Santatra (first year Resident).

  2. Pray that the programme may bring glory to God as we train and disciple these young Malagasy doctors. And pray for the 3 main trainers - surgeons Ted Watts, Jesh Thiessen and Marco Faniriko

  3. Pray for the exams that the residents will sit in June - a particular challenge for them because the exams are in English.

  4. Pray for the appointment of a new resident to start in January 2024.
