Red Zone Prayer News

Thank you so much to everyone who’s been joining us in prayer for the hospital’s coronavirus response and the work of the red zone team over the last few months.

In particular want to take this opportunity to ask you to join us in thanking God for:

  • a steady case numbers of 10-15 cases of possible corona virus a week- praise God we’ve not so far seen an exponential increase leading to dozens of people getting seriously unwell in Mandritsara from Covid19.

  • that although nearly 20 members of the project have had confirmed or probable coronavirus (testing ran out in September), everyone has recovered well so far- praise God for his protection.

  • the energy and servant heartedness God’s given all the nurses who have agreed to serve in the Red Zone over the last 8 months, despite in many cases significant initial fears.

And please continue to pray:

  • for wisdom in decisions around potentially closing the red zone at Christmas if case numbers remain steady and it’s clear we’re unlikely to see an overwhelming exponential surge here in Mandritsara.

  • for short term doctor or doctors to cover Dr Nathan’s home assignment from 1st March - 18th June 2021 (even if red zone has closed by then!). If you or someone you know might be interesting in serving as a doctor at the Good News Hospital for all or part of this period, please Contact the Team Leader.
